With the cooperation of Chugai Toen Co., Ltd., a company in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, that specializes in creating ceramic dolls and figurines known as "Seto Novelties" and has refined various techniques and expressions, each piece was handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional Seto Novelty techniques that have been passed down through generations.
Maneki-neko come with either their right paw raised or their left paw raised.
A maneki-neko with its right paw raised is said to "beckon good fortune," while one with its left paw raised is said to "beckon people." The Kurianyan Maneki-neko comes as a set including both types.
